RIBA Gloucestershire: AGM

RIBA Gloucestershire AGM was held on Tuesday 16th October, with an opportunity to reflect upon the past 12 months member activity, listen to members concern, ideas and opportunities going into 2019. We are also delighted to announce that Shivam Garg was elected as the new RIBA Gloucestershire Chair-Elect, becoming Branch Chair in September 2019.

Education

RIBA Student Mentoring

Quattro Design Architects and Roberts Limbrick Ltd participated in the 2017/18 RIBA Student Mentoring Scheme, supporting 14no students from UWE Bristol.

Coombs Everitt, Quattro Design Architects, Roberts Limbrick and Yiangou Architects are participating in 2018/19 RIBA Student Mentoring Scheme, supporting students from Bath University and UWE Bristol.

Work Experience Competition

Alison Brooks and Tom Bell launched the RIBA Gloucestershire Work Experience competition in January 2018, for students undertaking a weeks work experience at an architectural practice within the county to design their ‘Dream Home’.

The competition has received designs from Austin Design Works, Millar Howard Workshop, Quattro Design Architects and Roberts Limbrick Ltd.

Photography Competition

RIBA Gloucestershire have just launched (October 2018) the photography competition, with David Wint from Roberts Limbrick Ltd being the Committee lead for the project.

Public Exhibition of Work

RIBA Gloucestershire are currently negotiating for the Work Experience Competition and Photography Competition to be exhibited during January / February 2019.
